Pesara Avakaya ( Moong Dal Mango Pickle )



Ingredients:
Raw mangoes - 8
Split green moong dal - 
1/4 Kg
Hing - Pinch
Turmeric powder - Pinch
Red chilli powder - 
1/4 Kg
Salt to taste
Oil - 1/2 Kg

METHOD
Take a pan and dry roast moong dal till light golden color and transfer into a plate. Rest aside to cool down. Now blend dry roasted moong into a coarse powder. Take a bowl add in moong dal powder,1/2 cup red chilli powder,salt 1/2 cup,turmeric powder a pinch,hing 1/2 tbsp and mix well. Add raw mango pieces small pieces and mix well. Gradually add 1 cup oil to the mixture and mix well.Rest the pickle to soak aside for 2 days.
