
Ingredients:
Chana dal 1 cup
Onion chopped 1
Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
Sugar 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds 1 tbsp
Garlic chopped 2 tbsp
Garam masala powder 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Oil 3 tbsp
1.Wash and soak chana dal for 2 hours in 2 cups of water.
2.Heat oil in a pressure pan.
3.Add in mustard seeds allow them to pop up.
4.Add in cumin seeds allow them to sizzle.
5.Add garlic cloves chopped saute till light golden color.
6.Now add chopped onion and saute till it attains brown color.
7.Add garam masala powder,red chilli powder and saute till oil separates from the mixture.
8.Finally add soaked chana dal with water,salt to taste and mix well.
9.Pressure cook for 4 whistles now turn on to medium flame and cook for another 10 minutes.
10.Off the stove and let the pressure goes by itself.Open the lid,add in sugar and mix well.Cook for about 2 minutes.Serve hot.
