    How to make Ginger Pickle (Allam Avakaya)

    Ginger Pickle (Allam Avakaya), Ginger Pickle (Allam Avakaya) in telugu language
    Ingredients:

    Red chilli powder - 2 spoons
    Cumin seeds - 1 spoon
    Curry leaves
    Dried red chillies - 2
    Garlic - 10
    Ginger - 250 Grams
    Hing - Pinch
    Jaggery - 50 Grams
    Mustard seeds - 1 spoon
    Oil
    Salt to taste
    Tamarind juice - 4 spoons
    Turmeric powder - Pinch
    Urad dal - 1 spoon


    Preparation:

    1.Heat some oil in a pan,add ginger chopped and saute till nice golden colour,keep aside in a separate plate.

    2.In the same pan add tamarind,some water and bring it to boil,rest the mixture to cool down aside.

    3.Heat some oil in another pan,add dried red chillies,mustard seeds,cumin seeds,urad dal,garlic and switch off the flame.

    4.Now add hing,curry leaves,turmeric powder and saute.

    5.Add fried ginger to tamarind,red chilli powder,jaggery,salt,garlic cloves,coriander powder,fenugreek seeds powder and mix well.

    6.Now blend this mixture into a smooth paste,transfer into a bowl.Finally add tempering mixture and mix well.Serve hot with dosa and idli.
